UCLA offers financial packages designed to attract and retain the best graduate students in the nation.
UCLA provides substantial financial support to recruit outstanding students and to ensure their success here. Entering and continuing students may receive fellowship, traineeship and employment-based opportunities to support their studies as well as to enhance their academic, research and training portfolio.
UCLA Division of Graduate Education-awarded fellowships and grants provide students with regular stipends and/or tuition and fees for graduate study. Applicants, entering students, and continuing students do not apply directly, but are nominated by their academic program/department.*
*The one exception (when a continuing student applies directly to the Division of Graduate Education) is for the Graduate Summer Research Mentorship.
Outside support is available through a huge number of services.
If you have funding from more than one source, they may each affect your total funding package.
UCLA offers financial aid (in the form of loans and work study) to students who require assistance in meeting education costs. Based on your financial need, you may be eligible for this form of funding.
Much of our student billing is automated. Here are a few billing resources and links for you to login to UCLA’s student financial systems.
