Division of Graduate Education Merit-Based Awards for Prospective Students

Applicants must apply for the Division of Graduate Education Awards through the Application for Graduate Admission and be nominated by the prospective academic program for consideration.

Awards are competitive and nominations are reviewed by a campus-wide faculty committee. Awardees must maintain satisfactory progress throughout the award tenure.

Gordon Hein Memorial

Several awards of up to $5,000 each.

Kasper and Siroon Hovannisian

One award of up to $10,000.

Dr. Ursula Mandel

Several awards of up to $15,000 each.

Rose and Sam Gilbert

Approximately two awards of up to $10,000 each.

UC-HBCU

UC-HBCU Award

Awardees must graduated from an HBCU and participated in the UC-HBCU summer program.

UC-LEADS

UC LEADS Award

Awardees must have been participants in UC LEADS during their undergraduate program.
