Degree-Specific Admissions Requirements

In addition to the University's minimum requirements and those listed above, all applicants are expected to submit a statement of purpose and a resume.

While work experience is not a requirement for admission, the M.L.S. committee gives substantial weight to an applicant's work experience and expertise in evaluation for admission to the program.

Articulated degree admissions requirements:

Medicine, M.D./Legal Studies, M.L.S.

The articulated MD/MLS degree program is offered by the David Geffen School of Medicine and the School of Law. This degree program is designed for students who wish to become medical doctors but are interested in understanding the legal aspects of medicine. The articulated MD/MLS program can be completed in four years and allows medical students to earn a degree in law without increasing the length of time to complete the MD program. MD students interested in pursuing the articulated MD/MLS degree will submit an application in the Fall of year two in the MD program.
