Degree-Specific Admissions Requirements

M.S.: The statement of purpose should relate reasons for seeking admission. Applicants should have a B.S. degree or its equivalent in engineering, life science, or physical science.

Ph.D.: Applicants should have a B.S. degree or its equivalent, with a grade point average in the final two years of not less than 3.00, in engineering, life science, or physical science.Admission to the Ph.D. program is granted to a small group each year, according to the following criteria: (1) Evidence of capacity for original scholarship and research in the field of Biomedical Engineering; (2) outstanding letters of recommendation; and (3) demonstration of adequate communication skills, particularly in writing, in the work submitted.
