In addition to the University's minimum requirements and those listed above, applicants to the M.S. and Ph.D. programs are expected to submit a statement of purpose, personal statement, and a resume or CV

All graduate students (terminal MS or PhD-seeking) will be normally admitted as masters students unless they already have an MS degree. Conversion to the PhD program and candidacy requires passing the PhD preliminary exam and a faculty sponsor (PI). Student applicants with an MS degree expected at the time of enrollment will be normally admitted as PhD students.
