Position Description:

A new, start-up translational immunology laboratory in the Department of Microbiology, Immunology and Molecular Genetics at UCLA and Department of Pediatrics seeks an energetic, self-driven, motivated, MD, PhD or DVM scientist for a post-doctoral research associate position. The chosen candidate will work with human subjects as well as animal models to understand mechanisms of immune tolerance, autoimmunity, and cancer immune responses. Opportunities exist to work closely with senior investigators and to bridge the bench and bedside. Experience in immunology, genetics, molecular biology and history of productivity is essential.

Qualifications:

  • Ph.D., MD, DVM, or MD/Ph.D.  in Biology, Virology, Immunology or related field
  • Strong research experience in mouse models and or/human samples
  • Ability to work independently and also in a group/collaborative environment
  • Effective oral and written communications skills, self-motivated
