Latinos in the Mathematical Sciences Conference 2018 @ UCLA Campus
Mar 8 – Mar 10 all-day

On March 8-10, 2018, IPAM will host a conference showcasing the achievements of Latina/os in the mathematical sciences. The goal of the conference is to encourage Latina/os to pursue careers in the mathematical sciences, to promote the advancement of Latina/os currently in the discipline, to showcase research being conducted by Latina/os at the forefront of their fields, and, finally, to build a community around shared academic interests. The conference will be held on the UCLA campus in Los Angeles, CA.

More information and an application for travel support will be available in 2017.

Patrick Maloney JD, Licensing Associate at the USC Stevens Center for Innovation (USC’s technology transfer office) will speak on how technology transfer offices such as the USC Stevens Center for Innovation help inventors like you to protect and commercialize your innovations. Discussion topics will include: an introduction to the USC Stevens Center for Innovation, an overview of the commercialization process (including patents), and services and resources available for inventors and startups.

Among others, it covers structure, slides, and delivery, as well as stage fright.
