Conquering Impostor Syndrome and Negotiating Effectively
Jun 2 @ 9:00 am – 12:30 pm

Ever feel like a fraud or incompetent and fear that others will discover that you’re not equipped for the position you have? Do you believe you landed a job, won an award, or obtained admission to a program because you were lucky? If so, then you’re not alone. People everywhere — from college students to CEOs of Fortune 500 companies — have experienced these impostor feelings (but nobody really talks about them). Let’s address the elephant in the room.

An “Inside the Executive Office” interview of Dr. Angelica S. Gutierrez hosted by Liz Garcia, Podcast Host and CEO of Stay Limitless, will center on the impostor syndrome: symptoms, causes, implications, and strategies to counter its effects.

After discussing the impostor syndrome and the lies we tell ourselves, it’s time to own our value and leverage it in negotiations.

Dr. Gutierrez’s Negotiations Presentation + Workshop will cover key concepts and principles, including establishing your Best Alternative to a Negotiated Agreement (BATNA), reservation price, target point, issues, interests, positions and strategies that can be applied across contexts (i.e., employment offers, property sales/purchases, mergers/acquisitions). Attendees will also participate in an employment negotiation simulation that will provide them with the opportunity to apply the concepts, principles, and strategies discussed during the presentation.
